First, I increased the experience level to 3-5 years rather than 2 years because we have one other entry-level designer who works on basic projects and I would need someone with a little more experience who can work well with senior managers on a professional level . Under Main Expectations, I changed taking direction from senior designer to Marketing Manager. Although I kept the title of this position at Graphic Designer, I plan on eventually making the role a Senior Graphic Designer role that would be over my other entry-level graphic designer. I need to make sure as a graphics designer, the person hired is capable to embrace the role and communicate at a management level. Under Growing Your Creative Ability, I added being able to embrace and understand the companyââ¬â¢s philosophy and branding in order to create concepts autonomously. Currently the Marketing Manager is doing the majority of the research for creative projects for the graphics team, when her time needs to be focused on bigger picture projects and building relationships with existing and new clients. Last, under the Ability to Collect a Finished File For Vendor Release, I added making sure all files are print ready by making sure bleeds are set appropriately and all colors being used in design collateral are correct according to the companyââ¬â¢s branding guidelines. Again, the Marketing Manager receives any new design projects from the graphic designer and adds the bleeds, checks the colors, and packages the file for the printer. This is a task the graphic designer with more than 2 years experience should carry out.
